I ordered a car from Dial7.com using their website. My confirmation number was 060352XXX (this is so anyone reading this from Dial7 will know this is real). The car was scheduled to arrive at 3:00 pm. It was raining, so I ordered the car well ahead of time - I didn't want to chance missing my flight tothe West Coast. At 3pm, Dial7 called me, saying that it would take them another half an hour before getting a car to me. I told the customer service agent that I could wait a half hour, but any longer and I would miss my flight. I asked her if she could GUARANTEE me that my car would be there at 3:30. She said maybe, or a few minutes past. I said "no, if it can't be here at 3:30pm I don't want it." She assured me it would be.

At 3:30pm no car, no call. So I called them at 3:40. The agent told me there was NO CAR assigned to my reservation and that it would be another 30-45 minutes, maybe longer. I explained the situation to her and she said there was nothing she could do. When I asked to speak to her manager, she put me on hold. After 10 minutes, she dis-connected the call. When I called back, the next customer service agent said the reservation had been CANCELLED. Can you believe that? So I went through it again .. and again she said there was nothing she could do ... not even "sorry" when I told her because of them I was going to miss my flight to the West Coast and my meeting the next day.

So she asks me if I still want the car .. at this point I figure I might as well have them come and take me back to my apt. When the driver finally calls me - 90 minutes later (so this is now 2.5 hours after he was supposed to show up) and I tell him I'm not going to the airport but to my apt in midtown, he says "no way man, I'm not driving in this traffic for an in-town drop off". So I explain to him that I've missed my flight because of his company and he says "no way man" and leaves! Meantime I'm on my cell phone with yet another customer service agent who hangs up the phone on me a second later. Are you kidding me?

This company flat out lied about scheduling a car to pick me up .. and then after I wait 2.5 hours, they won't even take me 20 blocks to my home?! Even after I miss my plane because of you?! (I would have take the subway, but with four bags, in the rain, it wasn't happening.)

So here we are, $9 later and I have this great new website, Dial7Sucks.com - which I'll be happy to use to post others' experiences with Dial7 (since this incident, friends have told me the same thing happened to them and they'd never use Dial7 again). Sorry Dial7, but this is what happens when you treat your customers this way... I plan on taking out a Google Adwords campaign just so I can advertise how BAD you are. Sometimes you need to take matters into your own hands... enough it enough!
